EstateMaster CC: check which exports feed the portfolio

A project team has exported an updated cash flow under the same Cash Flow Title. You need to reconcile the reporting set.

YOU ASK

Our EstateMaster CC report changed after a new project cash flow was exported. Why did the consolidation pick it up?

propfessor.Companion example

The short answer

Inspect whether the consolidation uses “Use Latest” or “Use Fixed”. Use Latest selects the newest stored version for an identical Cash Flow Title. Use Fixed keeps the currently selected cash flows instead of automatically taking later exports.

Which version enters the portfolio?
SAME EXPORT TITLECurrentNewer
Use Fixed

02Not selected
Use Latest

02Selected

Version selection can change what contributes.

Work through it

  1. Check the consolidation’s version-selection setting.
  2. Compare the selected version for each project with the reporting set you intended to use.
  3. For a fixed reporting set, deliberately select and verify the required versions. Do not assume the latest export is the approved one.
The example, made concrete
New export under the same titleDocumented selection behaviour
Use LatestSelects the newest stored version
Use FixedRetains the currently selected cash flow

This explains which versions contribute; it does not confirm that the underlying project figures are correct.

WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW

You can identify a version-selection change before investigating every project assumption.

What if I need an older version for just one project?

The documented workflow permits selecting a specific historical version of an individual cash flow. Verify the final selection across the portfolio before relying on the report.
